This Data Protection & Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how CENTRAL CHAMBERS LAW CORPORATION and CHAMBERS RESOURCES PTE LTD (collectively, “CCLC”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collect, use, disclose and manage (collectively, “process”) your information, including your personal data (defined below) in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (“PDPA”) and other applicable laws.

  1.            To provide legal, corporate secretarial or other professional services to you, to your organisation that you have requested or to our client;

 

  1.            To manage and maintain our relationship with you and/or your organisation, including without limitation the conduct of compulsory due diligence checks and payment processing;

 

  1.            To respond to your queries and requests;

 

  1.            To process your application for employment, training contract or internship positions in CCLC;

 

  1.            To conduct research and analytics to improve our services;

 

  1.              To comply with or as required by any governmental authority’s request or directions;

 

  1.            Any purpose as required or permitted by law, regulations or court order; and/or

 

  1.            Any other purpose which we notify you and obtain your consent or deemed consent for before processing your personal data for that purpose.

 

  1.      To the extent permitted by law or reasonably required in order to carry out any of the Purposes, we may disclose your personal data to third parties, including without limitation:-

  1.            Any other party to whom you have authorised or be deemed to authorise us to disclose your personal data; and/or

  1.        Protection of Personal Data and Data Breach Notification

 

  1.      We will make reasonable security arrangements to prevent loss, unauthorised use, access, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or other similar risks in respect of personal data in our possession or under our control.

 

  1.      If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal data which may cause significant harm or impact, we will notify you in accordance with the requirements of the PDPA.

 

 

  1.        Withdrawal of Consent

 

  1.      Please contact us if you wish to withdraw your consent to our processing of your personal data in accordance with this Policy. We will require 30 days’ notice to process your withdrawal of consent.

 

  1.      In the event of your withdrawal of consent, we may not be able to continue to provide any legal, corporate secretarial or other professional services to you, and if so, we reserve the right to terminate any agreement you have with us in respect of such services.

 

 

  1.        Access to and Correction of Personal Data

 

  1.      We will take reasonable efforts to ensure that your personal data is accurate and complete when we use your personal data for the Purposes. We are entitled to assume that the personal data which you provide to us is accurate and complete. If there are any changes to your personal data, you are responsible for keeping us updated of any changes to your personal data that you had provided to us initially.

 

  1.      You may request for access to, or correction of, your personal data which is in our possession or under our control, subject to the provisions of the PDPA.

 

  1.      Depending on the nature of your request, we are entitled to charge a reasonable fee to provide access to the personal data you have requested.

 

 

  1.        Retention and Transfer of Personal Data

 

  1.      We may retain your personal data for as long as it is reasonably required for any Purposes stated in this Policy and for any other legal or business purposes permitted by law.

 

  1.      If we transfer personal data outside of Singapore, we will ensure that it is protected to a standard of protection that is comparable to the protection accorded to it under the PDPA.
